VOCA is a nonprofit organization that provides a space for BIPOC Deaf, DeafBlind, Deaf+, and Hard of Hearing artists to collectively create, collaborate & showcase their culturally distinct work while addressing social justice and racial equity through creative arts.

Giving Tuesday

Highlights from the year include: community offerings of African dance, hip hop, and salsa/bachata classes; an invitation to present at the Folger's Shakespeare Library's Reading Room festival, The VOCA Ensemble at the National Theatre Foundation; and A Strange Loop at Atlas. Coming up next: The Dinner Note by Rhonda Cochran at Gallaudet University- Spring 2026.

 

We at VOCA believe in the immense power of the arts in our community. We believe in holding space for creativity and discourse. We believe in creating a steady pipeline of
multigenerational artists who strive to work, learn, and grow, leading the way in creating a robust and thriving future for/of BIPOC& Deaf, DB, D+, HoH theatre, and dance makers.
