Rooted in Rhythm: Intro to Storytelling thru BASL, ASL, Poetry and Movement

Join us for a fun, in-person experience where storytelling comes alive! Dancer and artist Fred Beam invites us into the vibrant worlds of BASL and ASL! Blend it with expressive poetry, and let your body tell the story through movement. Whether you're new or just curious, this event is your chance to connect, create, and groove together.

Beginner and intermediate ASL signers, Deaf and hard of hearing community members, ASL students, emerging performers, educators, interpreters, and anyone interested in learning more about Black Deaf artistic traditions. No previous performance experience is required.

This event will provide ASL interpreting.

This event takes place in Room 103 - Co-Lab Space at Living and Learning Residence Hall 6, Gallaudet University.
