Deaf BIPOC Solo Shows ran September 23 to 25, 2022 at the Lang Theater, Atlas Performing Arts Center.

A special weekend event featuring three Deaf BIPOC performing artists sharing their life journey through ASL storytelling, monologues, dance, music, songs and poetry, tied to the celebration of Deaf Awareness Month in September. All three shows were performed and directed by Deaf BIPOC artists, in American Sign Language and spoken English.

  • Courage by Natasha “Courage” Bacchus, directed by Sylvie Marc-Charles Weir. Friday, September 23, 2022.

  • Take Back My Power by Mervin Primeaux-O'Bryant, directed by Teddy Dorsette. Saturday, September 24, 2022.

  • In the Eyes of a Deaf Child by Stella Marie Antonio, directed by Monique Holt. Sunday, September 25, 2022.
