Deaf BIPOC Solo Shows II ran across three weekends in November 2024, each solo performer taking the stage from Friday to Sunday. Theater Lab II, Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H Street NE, Washington, DC 20002.

The second edition featured the solo performances of three Deaf and hard of hearing BIPOC individuals, recounting their life experiences from the perspective of the Deaf BIPOC community. Each show was directed by a Deaf or hard of hearing BIPOC director.

Performances were presented in American Sign Language and spoken English, for both Deaf and hard of hearing and hearing audiences.

  • Flip the Table by Ashlea Hayes, directed by Najma Johnson. November 1 to 3, 2024.

  • Deaf Alien Babe Goes to Hollywood! by Sabina England, directed by Mervin Primeaux-O’Bryant. November 8 to 10, 2024.

  • Me & My 3 Girls by Christopher Smith, directed by Antoine Hunter. November 15 to 17, 2024.
